D.A.R.E Graduation

Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, Warsaw Community School's students will celebrate their decision to live a drug free life. This special night will take place at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center (M.O.C.C.) at Grace College, 610 Wooster Rd. Winona Lake, IN.  The program will begin promptly at 6:30 pm and graduates are to arrive no later than 6:15pm.

Graduates, family, friends, and loved ones will be entertained by the most in demand K-12 motivational speaker,  RETRO BILL.  Retro Bill will be the keynote speaker for the program and will speak for approx. 30 minutes. Other parts of the program will be shortened to accommodate all schools. Along with student achievement awards, attendees will also get to see a laser light show provided by Laser Shows 101. Graduates will also be able to get pictures and autographs with Retro Bill after the program.

I encourage all parents, guardians, and loved ones to attend this special evening. Please arrive early to assure seating for your families. We expect over 2000 people in attendance.

Thank you for all you do for your children.

GenMove in P.E.

Eisenhower students along with Mrs. Gruenewald would like to thank the Warsaw Education Foundation for the funding they received through the Red Apple Grant. Mrs. Gruenewald was able to purchase “GenMove” equipment which includes goals, balls, noodles, cones and activity books. With this equipment every Eisenhower student will be able to increase activity time as well as work on skills both physically and socially.

1st and 2nd Graders Skype with Author

The first and second graders enjoyed Skyping with author Tricia Springstubb recently.  The students were encouraged to write their own stories, and Mrs. Springstubb also read one of her books during the Skype.  During the question and answer session, students learned Mrs. Springstubb started writing when she was an elementary student, that she works part-time at a library, and that she uses real life situations in her writing.  The students had a great time Skyping with Mrs. Springstubb.
